John Wimber The Way It Was by Carol Wimber

John Wimber, who died in November 1997, is best-known as a great evangelist, a huge influence on the charismatic movement world-wide and a pioneer of church planting. A former rock-musician with the '60s band The Righteous Brothers, he later founded the Association of Vineyard Churches and in the ?80s lectured at Fuller Theological Seminary.

His books were bestsellers. This book sheds light on the man behind the public persona and Carol does not gloss over the darker points of their time together: the near breakup of their marriage in 1961 before they became Christians, and John's courageous battle with cancer in the '90s.
