These meditation speak to my heart. They invite me to sense the closeness of God. They call me to walk with God who is so actively present in Aotearoa.
    Revd John McAlpine, psychotherapist.

A spring of verbal and visual song which wells up from deep within, clear and refreshing.
    Judy McCormack, Johnsonville.

...vivid and evocative imagery in texts and photography. Aotearoa Psalms, like their namesakes, range over a wide variety of moods. They will be a very helpful stimulus to reflective prayer for New Zealanders from many Christian traditions.
The Revd David and Revd Kathy Nimmo, Havelock

Aotearoa Psalms offer New Zealanders images that evoke our land, our struggles and our loving. Joy Cowley and Terry Coles remind us that God has indeed pitched tent among us.
Sr Patricia Stevenson RSJ, Director Pastoral Centre, Palmerston North.

Terry Coles, always a keen photographer, has developed his gift to include illustration work. He lives in the Marlborough Sounds where, with his wife Joy Cowley, he runs "Arohanui" a house for people under stress. The Aotearoa Psalms is his second book.

Joy Cowley has been writing for adults and children for more than 25 years. Her adult work includes novels, short stories and regular spirituality contributions to The Marist Messenger and New Zealandia. The Aotearoa Psalms have grown from prayer shared with her husband Terry Coles, and inspired by his photography.
